Kindly forward this correspondence to St. Xavier School, Patna

Dear Principal
St. Xavier High school, Patna,

I am an ex-student of your esteem school having passed Matriculation way back in 1977.Since then I have not been in a position to come to Patna. I have now settled in Bangalore after completion of graduation in Pharmaceutical sciences and now working with a giant Multinational Pharmaceutical company since last 17 years.

I was really excited to see photo-gallery of our school (at PatnaDaily.Com) which has really brought back my old memories. Few distinguished teachers associated with us during that period were Father Mamoothil, Father George Thana, and Father Paul Faustich (From Ohio, USA).

I would like to be associated with the school, if you could please let me know if you have an ex-student or Alumni Association. My e-mail address is Ravindra.Hungund@astrazeneca.com. My postal address is 86/1, 2nd Main, 208 SFS Colony, Yelahanka New Town, Bangalore 560064.

Thanking you,

Ravindra.Hungund

You guys out there deserve congratulations for hosting such a Web-site which keeps us attached to our "zameen", our roots. Good efforts, keep it up.

Nitin

Thanks to all of your endeavors.

I was in search for some contact of my old college and my Professors. I really wanted to get connected with them as soon as possible. I always try to search them on Internet. Today fortunately I was able to view and read about one of my teachers, Dr. Dolly Sinha. Don't know how I can contact her but just hope she reads this message and contacts me.

I have graduated from Magadh Mahila College in Physics. That was my stepping stone to where I am and whatever I am doing currently. Although always in my thoughts, I really miss my teachers...I remember each one of them..... Padma Madam, Abha Madam, Abha Rani Madam, Kiran Aryani Madam, Dolly Madam, Mamta Madam and both Anita Madam.

I miss you all and just hope somehow I get connected with you all again.

Everyone who writes to PD sings paean of praise (or maybe, only such letters get published!). Patna Daily is most important to me just because it is there. Like a lotus springing out of the most ordinary of environments, PD does a great job of elevating Patna. To praise a perfect establishment is easy, but to find the beauty in a largely imperfect socio-political city takes a very positive approach and a deep love for our cultural roots.

Please start a section for articles from readers who wish to write on cultural, social and historical issues. Let's give PD an intellectual facet and share ideas and information amongst people afflicted with Biharophilia.

Dear Mr. Chaubey:

Thank you for your nice words and constructive criticism. Please feel free to send articles on cultural, social and historical issues to PatnaDaily.Com. We do not discourage people from engaging in intellectual debate as long as everyone maintains civility and respects other people's opinions.

Here is a reply to a similar letter that we had received recently.

We tried a discussion area in the past but before long it was littered with messages not suitable for any decent person or family. It had some great members who truly loved Patna and its culture and never got tired of talking about it.

Unfortunately, due to some bad apples, we had to shut it down. We may still bring it back in future with more tighter security and mandatory registration feature that would first verify one's email address before allowing someone to participate in any discussion. We had hoped it wouldn't come to that but like a certain class of people who have brought shame to our beloved state, certain people were bent on spoiling the wholesome image of PatnaDaily.Com that we have worked so hard to develop and nourish.

Meanwhile, we have provided a Readers Write section, in case you have somehow overlooked it. You're quite welcome to send your views on topics that you feel would interest the visitors of PatnaDaily.Com. We, however, reserve the right to edit or reject the material as deemed appropriate. We would not provide any explanation in case of rejection or entertain any further correspondence on that issue.

With this, we welcome you to the ever-increasing family of PatnaDaily.Com and hope to receive your support in the coming days and years.

This is a very informative site which provides good information on the culture of Patna. My only request is to give more information on Urdu poets and their contribution to the Indian society and their freedom struggle.
