Tell your friends about PatnaDaily.Com

Sept. 25, 2004
I
am desperately trying to locate the
village of KOWARAH, in Arrah,
Pergunnah Beheea (Bihia). That's the
Immigrant's Register entry for my
great-great grandfather who arrived
here in Mauritius in January 1859.
He boarded the ship Earl of Derby in
Calcutta. I have discovered his
grave in a cemetery along the coast
(died 1896); and stone inscriptions
with his name in the script of that
time (nearly Hindi), under 30cm of
sand.
I
am planning to come over to Bihar
shortly. PatnaDaily.Com, you are my
last resort. All other contacts have
not even bothered to reply.
I
retired from government service a
year ago. I was the Director of
Environment. I feel sorry for those
who have not read the noble history
of Bihar. Thanks and once again God
bless the land of my ancestors. God
bless Bihar.

they don't need to worry about their
friends. I will help you locate your
dear ones. I also belong to Patna
city.

I
am a software engineer working in an
MNC in Bangalore. I felt so nice to
come across this news site. I went
through the photo gallery.....
ultimate!! I have been missing my
Patna from almost 2 and a half
years. Whatever my Patna is, I love
it and am in love with the streets
where I have been roaming with my
friends. My toiling days of
preparations for engg. and the happy
news that I have got a rank in
IIT-JEE, all occurred in this buddy
ADDA...

Please
update the photographs on your web
site as the photos posted on it are
very old, and have been viewed time
and again. This is my only request
to you, otherwise, your web site is
really wonderful as it provides
people like me who live abroad the
chance to get news and reports and
occasionally browse through photos
of sites and people in and from
Patna.
Akshay Sharma
Editor's reply: If we took the
existing Patna pictures from the web
site, imagine what would the new
visitors of PatnaDaily.Com be
missing! We don't remove existing
pictures just because some folks
have already seen it. Instead, we
add one new image each week to our
already large repertoire of unique
and interesting Patna pictures that
continue to attract new visitors to
PatnaDaily.Com. Thanks for the
feedback and positive comments. |

I
really congratulate you for such a
great effort. You know, I really
wept when I got to read the messages
of several persons seeking to meet
their old friends. You did a
fantastic job. I just want to
suggest that there should be a
column in your site where we can
share our writing skills in the form
of small articles.

Great
site! ... just of the level of the
best sites on net. As being a
software engineer myself sometimes I
felt humiliated about not having any
good site of my city 'The Patna'. I
love this city like anything due to
its uniqueness. Although it's a
little messy but for this we are
responsible only, not the thousands
years old great city, who taught the
world many lessons and has
significantly cast its clear effect
on culture of this planet. Keep it
up. Please tell me how to help.

I
am a regular reader of your e-news
daily. It is the best news reporter
on the e-group. Funny Bone and Oops!
are added feather in your cap.
Though I am a Kolkata residence but
getting the news from the
neighboring state gives the picture
of your state. The style of
reporting makes me feel as if I am
there in Bihar all the time.
Keep it
up, my best wishes.

Adaab
and congratulations to the team at
PatnaDaily.Com. You have done a
brilliant job of covering Patna with
your portal. The picture gallery is
amazing and I must say that you have
really been able to catch the
essence of this city, the colors,
the life, the bustle... BRILLIANT.
I
hail originally from Neora a small
village outside of Patna. Although I
was born in Bombay and now reside in
Canada, I cannot forget the summer
vacations that I used to spend in
Patna with my entire family at our
ancestral haveli though the haveli
is in ruins now and the family all
scattered.
The
picture gallery reminded me of those
long gone summer days.
Congratulations once again.
