Leaders Pay Homage to JP

Patna: Oct. 11, 2008

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, on Saturday in Patna, placed flowers at the statue of the '70's Total Revolution architect Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan to mark his 106th birth anniversary.

After paying their respects at the JP Roundabout on Bailey Road, the two leaders also visited the Charkha Samiti, the home of the Loknayak in Kadam Kuan where they reminisced the days of Emergency imposed by the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi eventually leading to her loss of power and the birth of Janata Party. >>
