Ghazal Singer Wows Crowd in Patna

Patna: World-renowned ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, at a cultural function at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Friday regaled the audience for hours by singing one hits after another including his signature song ''Chitthi Aayee Hai'' that helped him establish in the world of music and ghazal in the late '80s and '90s.

In an auditorium packed to capacity, Patna''ites had one of the best times of their lives when they were treated to one meaningful ghazal after another, including the heart-warming, emotion-filled ''Chitthi Aayee Hai'', ''Mahangi Hui Sharab'', ''Jiye to Jiye Kaise'', ''Zamana Kharab Hai'', and ''Deewaron se Rona'', among others.

Udhas also did not disappoint his fans who kept asking for more. At their requests, he sung several songs highlighting the importance of love, living, friendship, and the untainted love of a mother for her children.

The singer praised the public of Bihar saying he had toured nearly all the districts in Bihar and wherever he went, people poured their love on him.

"Bihar has played a huge role in the success of my professional career and I thank them for their love and admiration for my songs," Udhas said.
