Patna: After having failed to attract even a single large industry in his eleven years as the Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar on Saturday entertained a group of possible investors from the Middle East who expressed their desire to set up food-processing units and develop tourism and infrastructure in Bihar.
The CEO of the Leela Group of Hotels expressed his desire to build five star hotels in Bodh Gaya and Patna. With total prohibition in place in the state, it is, however, felt that such interest may not transform into reality as European and American tourists will prefer to go to a destination where no such ban is imposed on them.
The representatives of Tiger Steels expressed their interest in setting up a steel fabrication unit in Bihar while the Gulf Petroleum has shown interest in investing in building infrastructure in the state, officials said.
Those present at today's meeting including Tiger Steels CEO P. K. Nagrajan, Goldrush Capital Managing Director Mehmood Khan, GP Property Fund Director Syed Shahin Alam, Gulf Petroleum Managing Director Sudhir Goyal, and representatives of the Leela Group of Hotels.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
