Rajendra Menon is the New Patna High Court Chief Justice

Patna: Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind, at a simple function at the Raj Bhawan in Patna on Wednesday, administered the oath of office to the new Chief Justice of Patna High Court Rajendra Menon.

Scheduled to retire on June 7, 2019, 59-year old Menon would take charge from the acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court Hemant Gupta who was appointed the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Menon had earlier practiced civil and constitutional law in Jabalpur High Court in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Speaker of the Bihar Assembly Vijay Kumar Chowdhary, Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, and Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly Prem Kumar were among many who were present on the occasion.
