Patna: Communist Party of India (ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, at a press conference in Patna, on Tuesday said that his party, along with other leftist parties in India, would give a strong and appropriate reply to the 'insane and violent' politics of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that he said was the model for fascism and communalism.
Speaking at a convention at Patna's Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir, Bhattacharya said his party would not sit idle and let the country go in the hands of Adanis, Ambanis, or Patanjalis.
"The BJP is trying to create an atmosphere of unrest and communal disharmony. The dubious seizure of illegal meat in Bhojpur district and the communal disturbance following it is indicative of the Central government's intention of spreading fascism in the nation. This will not be tolerated. Those who encourage such actions will be cornered and exposed," Bhattacharya said.
The CPI-ML leader also lashed out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying he betrayed the mandate of the people and surrendered before the BJP for political gains.
Known for engaging in lofty rhetoric, the Communist leader said that the goal of the BJP was to economically destroy 'Aam Aadmi' by grabbing their lands and bread and butter.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
