Patna: A day after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav bragged about being above the law saying neither the CBI nor the Office of Electorate Directorate (ED) had the audacity to charge him or his family in a host of corruption cases against them, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday asked his predecessor to be patient as not only charges against him and the Yadav family would be filed shortly, many of them would be spending quite a bit of time in prison as well.

"Tejaswi Yadav first claimed that no raid had ever been conducted at any of their properties. When the news of all the raids came out, he said it did not mean anything as no FIR was filed against them. When FIRs were lodged against them, he got scared and started to avoid being grilled by the ED. Only when he realized that he and others in the family were about to be arrested for defying court subpoenas, he and his mother decided to appear before the investigators. So I say, don't be impatient, all charges will be duly filed against you in time and you will also have opportunity to spend some time in jail," the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said.

Modi, who played a huge role in exposing the Yadav family of acquiring properties valued in excess of several hundred crores, said that only yesterday the ED attached three acres of Lalu Prasad Yadav's property and yet an arrogant Tejaswi Yadav was saying that no charge sheet was filed against them.

"The fact of the matter is that the ED, CBI, and the Income Tax Department have so much evidence of corruption against them that not only they will officially be charged soon, they will be found guilty and will be punished according to our existing laws," he said.

Continuing to hammer Tejaswi Yadav, Modi asked him to explain how did he acquire three acres of land where his family was building a Rs. 750 crore new mall at the age of 28 when he never held a job in his life.

"If he could honestly answer this question, he probably would still be the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar," Modi said.
