Patna: Known for his political jugglery and uncanny ability to manipulate system to his advantage, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, realizing he was certain to be sent to jail in connection with the fodder scam, allegedly made arrangements in advance to have his 'peons' to be in the same jail so they could serve their master as the former Chief Minister of Bihar begins serving three and a half years behind bars in the Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi.

As reported, two of Yadav's minions, Laxman Mahto and Madan Yadav, both long time 'aide' of the RJD chief, staged fake crime in Ranchi making the fake victims to file police reports against them. As soon as cases against them were lodged, the two surrendered on their own volitions following which they were arrested and sent to the Birsa Munda Jail where Lalu Prasad Yadav was to be brought in.

Reports said the two were arrested on charges of theft and assault.

Madan Yadav, who is said to be the personal cook of the RJD chief, was also in the same Ranchi jail when Lalu was arrested in 2013. Laxman, however, was not arrested at that time because with a friendly government in Jharkhand, access to Lalu in prison was available to each of his supporters at the time, reports said.

Yadav, who was earlier convicted in the illegal withdrawal of Rs. 89 lakh from the Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994, was last week given three and a half years imprisonment by a special CBI judge.

Reacting to the report, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi said that Yadav first stole money from the poor people of Bihar and now he was using them once again to act as his servants in the prison.

"He became the Chief Minister of Bihar by misleading and cheating the poor people of Bihar. Instead of improving road, power, water, education etc., he robbed Bihar blindly to amass properties for himself, his children, and children's children. Under him, Bihar became synonymous with financial 'ghotalas' like fodder scam, bitumen scam, and B.Ed degree scam," Modi said in a tweet.
