Patna: After successfully holding the first ever World Women's Kabaddi Championship in Patna, the state capital is ready to host the All India Federation Cup Wrestling (men's and women's) at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh starting Monday morning.

K. N. Jaiswal, Assistant Director, Art, Culture, and Youth Department, on Sunday said that preparation for the competition has been completed. Two synthetic rings where matches will take place have been readied by the Indian Wrestling Association and its Bihar counterpart, he said.

Wrestlers from various parts of the country have already started to arrive and will report for registration on Monday morning, Jaiswal said.

Arrangement for their stay has been made at the dorms within the newly-constructed arena and all participants will be weighed prior to the matches, he said.

Among those expected to participate in the 2-day event include Amit Kumar who earlier participated in the Asian Championship in Thailand; Yuddhavir who was part of the Indian team for the Junion World Championship in Romania, Santosh Shinde, and Chandan Paul.
