Orthopedic Conference Ends in Patna

CEZCON-2012 comes to an end in Patna on Sunday.
Patna: The two-day 12th national conference of the Central Zone of Indian Orthopedic Association (CEZCON- 2012) came to an end on Sunday as eminent orthopedic experts from across the nation, including some from abroad, spoke on a number of health topics like osteoporosis, arthritis, and other bone and joint problems.
Advising elderly people to increase the intake of vitamin, protein, and calcium in their diet, Dr. Gyaneshwari Prasad from UK said that this could reduce the chances of osteoporosis among them and would help strengthen the bones.
Improper post-operation care and failure to take prescribed medicines also lead to weak bones causing more problems in the future, Dr. S. M. Lakhotia of Kolkata said.
Lt. Colonel Narendra Kumar of New Delhi, Dr. A. S. Prasad, Dr. Amulya Kumar Singh were among many who also spoke on the occasion.
Approximately 400 delegates took part in the conference on Sunday.
