Planning Commission member Dr. Sayeeda Hamid at CM's residence in Patna on Tuesday.

Patna: Dr. Sayeeda Hamid, Planning Commission member, on Tuesday met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and talked about a number of issues related to Bihar.

Dr. Hamid apprised the Chief Minister of the Center's plan to strengthen National Health Mission and Anganbari centers in Bihar while also asking Kumar questions related to a host of social schemes in the state.

The Chief Minister, during the meeting, talked about the recently-constituted Cabinet on the Human Development Mission to promote health education, population control, girls and women empowerment, social welfare, and plans to earn a decent living that would encompass over one crore women from Mahadalit and minority communities.

Kumar also urged Dr. Hamid to take steps to include the construction of Anganbari centers under Centrally-sponsored schemes.
