Patna: Nearly 400 sportsmen and coaches from Bihar were honored by the Bihar government at a function held at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Wednesday.
Special guest Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi handed over the prizes to the young sportsmen that included tennis player Anshumat Srivastava, athlete Sunanda Sirkar, and junior golfer Aman Raj who also received a check for Rs. 21,000 for participating in international tournaments.
Modi, in his speech, said the state government was committed to promote and encourage young players and athletes of Bihar and financial difficulties would not be allowed to shatter the dreams of these young stars.
