Clash at a medical center in Rajendra Nagar in Patna on Sunday.
Patna: In yet another case of bout between a patient's and clinic officials in Patna on Sunday, an angry mob vandalized an ultrasound center in Rajendra Nagar following the death of a patient who was found in a state of unconsciousness on Sunday evening under Malsalami police station.
As reported, 35-year old Manoj Yadav, the son of Shyam Babu Yadav, was brought to the Chowdhary Imaging Spectrum Diagnostic Center in on Sunday morning. On Sunday morning, he felt the urge to go to the bathroom. However, he collapsed in the bathroom and shortly died.
A brawl breaks out between a patient's family members and hospital staff in Patna on Sunday.Irate family members accused the doctor's assistant of giving him a glass of water mixed with glucose that, they claimed, caused Manoj's death.
The deceased's father said that the doctor had, in no uncertain terms, told the compounder not to give him glucose and yet he was given a glass of water mixed with glucose that took Manoj's life.
Reports further suggested that Manoj was an alcoholic who had too much to drink on Saturday night.
Senior police officials from Kadam Kuan police station arrived at the Imaging Center and after much efforts, managed to bring the situation under control.
Dr. Rajan Chowdhary, the Director of the medical facility, said that Manoj Yadav had been registered with the Center only few minutes before his death and it was entirely likely that his own family members gave him the glass of water.
An FIR has been lodged against the compounder.
