Leaders Pay Rich Tribute to Kailashpati Mishra

Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Friday paid glowing tributes to the party patriarch and former Governor of Gujarat Kailashpati Mishra at a condolence meeting held at Rabindra Bhawan in Patna.

Mishra died a week ago on November 3 at his residence in Patna at the age of 89.

Among those attending the condolence meeting on Friday included BJP president Nitin Gadkari, leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, former party president Rajnath Singh, Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha, senior RSS leader Suresh Soni, party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shahnawaz Hussain, Nand Kishore Yadav, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Janata Dal – U state president Vashisht Narayan Singh, Bihar Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Chowdhary, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shakuni Chowdhary, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Tarakant Jha, Dr. C. P. Thakur, CPI leaders Kedar Pandey and Badri Narayan Lal, and Congress leader Vinod Sharma, besides many others.

Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari said that Mishra was a dedicated soldier of the party who lived his life on his own terms and became a source of inspiration for millions of youths and party workers.

Swaraj described Mishra as a man who was always eager to work with everyone, including those from opposing parties putting his principles before party ideologies.
