All-religion Peace Congregation for Late BJP Leader


Patna: Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and supporters, at an all-religion function held at the Veterinary College ground in Patna on Thursday, paid rich homage to senior party leader Kailashpati Mishra who died on November 3 at the age of 89.

The event began with a prayer led by Pandit Ram Naresh Shastri followed by a prayer by Muslim cleric Mohammed Riaz Ahmed, a Sikh homage by Bhai Rajendra Ji, and hymn chanting by Prem Sing Laka representing Buddhism.

Former BJP Vice President Kalraj Mishra, state president Dr. C. P. Thakur, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, senior party leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shahnawaz Hussain, Venkaiyah Naidu, Shyam Rajak, P. K. Shahi, Sunil Kumar Pinto, Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Radha Mohan Singh, Vijay Kumar Chowdhary, Giriraj Singh, Arun Sinha, Nitin Navin, Sanjay Mayukh, Satyadeo Narayan Arya, Nikhil Chowdhary, Ranjan Yadav and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Central Minister Tariq Anwar were among many who were present on the occasion to pay their tributes to the departed soul.
