"The opposition is frustrated with the development in Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's leadership. Now that it has come to the realization that their chance of coming into power in the state is nil, they have decided to resort to violence and false allegations. They are pinning all their hopes on diversion from the real issues because they know they have no case when it comes to development and progress of Bihar," JD-U spokesperson Ravindra Singh said at the Income Tax Roundabout where effigies of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Ram Vilas Paswan, and Mehboob Ali Kaiser were burnt.

The JD-U leaders accused the opposition of trying to topple the NDA government in Bihar by making false allegations of corruption and dividing people on caste basis.

"No one can forget the 15 years of misrule in Bihar. Lalu and Paswan are hoping that by creating smokescreens, people will not remember their misdeeds that drove the state into an economic abyss. They can shout all they want and they can try to run away from their record but we are here to remind the people of how they pillaged and raped the state to advance their own personal and political agendas," said Anil Pathak.

Meanwhile, the Patna Mahanagar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also burnt effigies of Yadav and Paswan at the Dak Bungalow Crossing accusing them of creating pandemonium in the state Assembly in a desperate attempt to steal power from the NDA.

"Their actions were not only shameful but criminal as well and against the democratic principles of the nation. They should be arrested and barred from contesting elections for the rest of their lives," said Arun Kumar Sinha, MLA from Patna Central.
