"Bring 'em On", Says Nitish on PM, Sonia's Visit to Bihar

Champaran: November 7, 2005

"I don't have any magic wand in my hand that could change the face of Bihar in a second or in a minute but I am willing to work hard with all honesty and am ready to restore the glory of Bihar that has been taken away from you and all of us by the inept and criminal government of Lalu Prasad Yadav," the Janata Dal (U) leader and NDA Chief Ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar said on Sunday on campaign trail in Champaran.

"My 'justice rally' against the illegal dissolution of Bihar Assembly eight months ago started right here in Champaran and now I am here again asking for you to vote for the NDA candidates in our attempt to restore some sanity in the state that has been robbed blind during the 15 years of Lalu-Rabri jungle raj," the JD-U leader said.

Despite a Chhath mood in Bihar, Kumar, on Sunday, addressed at Motihari, Bettiah, and Sikta and asked the voters for their support. "They (the UPA) can bring whoever they want to including the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the UPA president Sonia Gandhi; there is an anti-Lalu wave in Bihar and this time no one will come to their rescue," a confident Kumar said.

Taking a dig at the RJD chief who on Saturday said that it was only he who had some shine on his face despite all the hurdles, Kumar said it's not surprising that Lalu's face is so red knowing the fact that it was he who 'ate all the fodder that were meant for the animals'.
