Full Security for the Third Phase of Bihar Polls

With only three days left for the third phase of the Bihar Assembly polls, the Election Commission (EC) officials, on Thursday, expressed its determination to hold the elections at 15 constituencies in the strictest security arrangement to ensure free and fair poll at all voting centers.
Anand Kumar, the deputy Election Commissioner, while visiting four districts in Bihar where elections will be held on November 13, said that every single polling booth will be under strict Central Para-Military Force vigilance and no voting would be allowed at booths where security is not up to the EC's stringent standard.
Kumar who was accompanied by the state chief electoral officer N. K. Sinha visited Araria, Kishanganj, Supaul, Saharsa in a helicopter and reviewed the security arrangement at these places. The two later met with the EC special advisor K. J. Rao in Patna and discussed the day's development.
Due to security reasons, the third phase of the four-phased polls were split between two days. While Bihar voters will go to polls on November 13 for 57 seats, elections for 15 seats would be held on November 16.
