The cast of the newest Bhojpuri film Mai-Baap, while opening the movie in Patna amidst large crowd, thanked the people of Bihar for making the film a huge success in the state and expressed their desire to come back to the state for more such films that have strong cultural and social impact.
Stars of the film Naghma, Mahima Mukherjee, and Ravi Kishan, taking turn to speak to the media, said the film produced under the banner of Satyajit Movies and Jeet Creations, would take the Bhojpuri film industry to a new height and applauded the people of Bihar for the huge success the film has achieved since its opening day last Friday.
"Bhojpuri films represent the traditional Indian values and culture and clearly stand out in a jungle of hundreds of run-of-the-mill movies churned out by the Mumbai film industry," Naghma said adding she would love to come back to Bihar again and again.
Leading actor Ravi Kishan said he was very pleased with the way the film turned out and the immense love the people of Bihar have showered on him. "I will always be indebted to them," he said.
"Many big stars of the Hindi film industry are now attracted to Bhojpuri films because of its mass appeal and emphasis on family values," the first time Bhojpuri actress Mahima Mukherjee said.
