One Killed, Two Injured at Fatuha Railway Yard

Patna: April 1, 2007

In an ongoing war of attrition between two gangs, criminals on motorcycles at Fatuha railway yard on Sunday opened indiscriminate firing at three men causing serious injury to two of them while one person was declared dead on arrival at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), railway police said.

The deceased was identified as Harishankar Prasad and the two who are battling for their lives at the PMCH were identified as Upendra Yadav and Rajbali Yadav , the police said.

Senior railway officials including the Danapur Railway Protection commissioner Rajendra Babu Rupanwar, Railway Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajitabh Kumar, and Railway DSP Prahlad Mishra rushed to Fatuha to take stock of the situation.

The police is investigating the case to identify the criminals who escaped on their motorcycles following the incident.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, the Patna police arrested two men with pistols and live cartridges from near Uma Cinema in Pirmohani under Kadam Kuan police station.
