Dozens of angry men and women, on Tuesday, vandalized a private nursing home in Jakkanpur after a nine year old boy died while being treated for some non-life threatening ailment, the police said.

As reported, 9-year old Golu was brought to the nursing home after he developed some fever and began vomiting on Tuesday. His parents brought him to the Vivekanand Shishu Chikitsa Kendra where he was given some sort of shot.

Soon Golu's condition deteriorated and before his parents could be transfer him to a hospital, he died at the nursing home.

Blaming the doctor for negligence resulting in the boy's death, an angry crowd pelted stones at the nursing home demanding action against the clinic staff and the doctor.

After much persuasion, the police was able to calm down the crowd. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday after which the police will decide if any action needs to be taken against the clinic staff.
