Parents of Kidnapped Boy Meet with CM

The parents of Akaash, a class VII student of Dayanand Anglo Vedic (DAV) School who was abducted by unidentified criminals under Shastri Nagar police station in Patna on Friday morning while on his way to school, met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday and appealed to him to do his best in recovering their son.
The victim's father Yogendra Pandey, along with his wife and two daughters, met with the Chief Minister on Saturday evening at his home on 1 Anne Marg and asked him to order the state machinery to recover Akaash at the earliest and bring his abductors to justice.
Kumar has assured the family of full state support saying he was personally monitoring the developments and hoped a happy end is reached soon in the case.
Director General of Police (DGP) Ashish Ranjan Sinha and other senior police officials were also present during the meet.
Meanwhile, the students of DAV School held prayers for the safe return of the 12-yer old boy on Saturday.
"We all are praying for a quick and safe recovery of Akaash who is liked by his fellow students and teachers alike," said the school Principal Ramanuj Prasad.
Also on Saturday, the police raided several auto garages in Patna in the hope of finding the car that was used to kidnap Akaash.
Zonal IG Rajwardhan Sharma, after holding a high-level meeting for nearly an hour and a half with DIG Sunil Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kundan Krishnan, and City SP Anwar Hussain, said the police, taking a clue from the high-profile Papiya Ghosh murder case in which the criminals had hid the stolen car in an auto garage, were launching a full-fledged operation to search all garages in Patna and its neighbors to look for the car that was used to pick up the 12-year old boy.
