Saharsa: Aug. 15, 2007

The police in Saharsa on Wednesday recovered seven-year old Saurabh, the son of a businessperson who was abducted from outside his house on August 10, after he was set free by his kidnappers in Samani village.

Saurabh, the son of Lalit Kumar Yadav, after being in the clutches of his abductors for last five days, was allowed to walk free under immense pressure from the police, officials in Saharsa said.

The police recovered the boy from Samani village under Salakhua police station and handed him over to his parents, Shahab Akhtar, DIG (Kosi range) said.

Meanwhile, no such luck in the case of the Patna boy Akaash who was kidnapped from Shastri Nagar area while going to his school the same day Saurabh was abducted.

Admitting lack of any credible clues, the police in Patna said it was doing it best to find the DAV Patna student considering the kidnappers had left no trace that would lead the police to them or to the missing boy.

Parents of Akaash and the police maintain no ransom call has been made by the abductors.
