Photo by Shashi UttamTourism and Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, on Tuesday, launched two tri-monthly magazines issued by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) while also inaugurating the newly updated web site of the Corporation to promote tourism in the state.

"Bihar possesses tremendous tourism potential and through the new magazines and the improved web site of the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, we intend to promote this industry with all might and efforts," said the minister.

Tourism minister inaugurates state tourism web site. Photo by Shashi UttamThe magazine called 'Bihar Tourism' would include lists of all hotels, both private and government-owned, tour operators, and other pertinent information to facilitate tourism in Bihar, he said.

Similar information have been made available on the updated BSTDC official web site http://bstdc.bih.nic.in, with essays on Bihar festivals and tourist attractions in the state, a quick glance at the web site suggested.

Yadav further said that the government was making efforts to connect Rajgir, Pawapuri, and Bodh Gaya to the Buddhist circuit while bringing many historical sites in the north Bihar under what is termed as Gandhi circuit.
