Woman Arrested Trying to Steal 2-year old Boy

The Gardanibagh police in Patna on Tuesday arrested a middle-aged woman after she tried to steal a two-year old boy from Road Number 16 in Gardanibagh, officials said.
According to the eyewitnesses, a woman who appeared to be in her mid 40s, picked up two-year old Sarthak who was playing outside a house while his mother Asha Devi worked inside. Hiding the boy with her sari, the woman tried to leave the place when the boy's mother stepped outside only to find the woman running away with the child.
Hearing her cry for help, people in the neighborhood gave a chase to the woman and recovered the boy from her possession before handing her over to the police.
The woman was identified as Chhathia Devi of Bawanbigha of Bhojpur district. The police is interrogating her to determine the motive of her crime.
