Art Workshop at Patna Art College

Art Workshop at Patna Art College. Photo by Shashi UttamPatna University Vice Chancellor Dr. Y. C. Simadri, on Friday, inaugurated a five-day workshop on sculpting and painting at Patna Art College emphasizing the need for such workshops in the overall development of the students.

With special appearances by Baroda's renowned sculptor Ganesh Udal and painter Shatrughan Thakur, college principal Dr. Anunay Chaubey proudly introduced the final year students to the creations of the two and appealed to them to learn from their experiences.

The workshop was sponsored by the Takshila Educational Society with the goal to stir up students' imagination in the field of art, Chaubey said.

Altogether 65 graduating students took part in the workshop and listened to the experts on the commercial, social, and communicative aspects of various arts.

The college principal further said that many more workshops, including the ones on the art of writing and photography, would be held before the end of this year.
