UK-based Bihar Foundation Offers Help to Flood Victims

The Bihar Foundation in UK has come forward to help the flood victims in Bihar. Disclosing this, the secretary of the foundation Dr Rajay Narain said the foundation has collected funds for food, shelter, clothing, and medicines for the flood victims in the state.
Dr. Narain said Sushil Kumar Modi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, would flag off the first consignment of the relief items to the flood affected districts in and around Patna on Tuesday the 28th August at 10 am.
The Bihari Diaspora in UK that has responded at this time of crisis in Bihar includes Prof. Gajendra Verma, Prof. Kanka Mallick, Dr Ajay Ghosh, Dr Murli Sinha, Dr Shatrughan Singh, Dr Shivendra Sinha, Dr Ashok Pathak, Dr Ranjan Chaudhary, Dr N. P. Singh, Dr Amit Kishore, and Dr Prakash Sahay, Dr. Narain, the son of Patna's prominent physician late Dr. Mahendra Narain, said.
The foundation was attempting to liaise with various voluntary organizations in its efforts to step up flood relief activities in Bihar, he further said.
Earlier, the district administration in Patna, in honor of Dr. Mahendra Narain, renamed R. K. Avenue to Dr. Mahendra Narain Road, besides renaming several other roads.
