Teenaged Boy Reported Abducted from Patna

Patna: Aug. 30, 2007

Yet another teenaged boy has been reportedly kidnapped from Patna as the family members of 13-year old Narayan Kumar lodged a case of abduction after he failed to return home following what was supposed to be just a short trip to a store nearby.

Narayan, a native of Aurangabad district who lived with his older brother in a flat in Lalji Tola in Patna, apparently left for somewhere on Monday night but failed to return home till Thursday morning.

Search for him in Patna and Aurangabad proved futile forcing the family members to file a case of abduction on Wednesday.

Initially the police was treating the case as the case of a missing person but later, in its report, changed it to a case of kidnapping, City SP Anwar Hussain said on Thursday.

The boy's father Naresh Singh said his son had moved to Patna just a few days ago and he hardly knew anyone in Patna or anyone really knew him.

The police have initiated an investigation in the case.
