Birth Anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Celebrated. Photo by Shashi UttamGovernor R. S. Gavai, at the Raj Bhawan in Patna on Monday, observed the birth anniversary of India's first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad by placing garland at his picture.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Revenue Minister Ramnath Thakur, Dr. C. P. Thakur and a number of other public figures also paid their tributes to Dr. Prasad.

Later, they also visited the Dr. Rajendra Prasad memorial ground near Bans Ghat where they placed garlands on the statue of the President.

A function in honor of the President was also organized by the Patna High Court advocates' council at the local IMA Hall where the lawyers emphasized the need of following on the principles of Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

The advocates' council also decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad each year as the Advocates' Day.
