Runaway Woman Commits Suicide

The police in Patna under Pataliputra police station on Monday recovered the dead body of 20-year old woman who was, on December 8, found crying at Patna Junction and was handed over to a women's voluntary organization Prayas Bharati.
According to the police, the distraught woman went into her room and hung herself from the ceiling using her dupatta.
When other women living in the shelter tried to open her door, there was no response from inside. Then they called the police who broke the door only to find the woman's body hanging from the ceiling.
Her body was sent to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for an autopsy.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it appeared to be a case of jilted lover, the police said adding that facts would come out only after a thorough investigation.
A native of Chhapra, the woman's parents who live in Delhi have been notified of their daughter's death, the police said.
