Abducted Boy Recovered within Hours

Patna: Dec. 14, 2007

The police in Patna on Friday, just hours after 7-year old Sahil of Agam Kuan was abducted for ransom, cracked open the case and recovered the boy who was found tied and drugged in a shop under Bahadurpur police station.

As reported, Sahil, the son of a plywood shop owner Sudhir Sharma, was playing outside his home near the Agam Kuan TV tower on Friday evening. When he failed to return till late hours, the family notified the police expressing their fear of Sahil being kidnapped.

Based on the information provided by the boy's father, the police raided an electrical shop owned by one Sujit Kumar in Vachaspati Nagar. There they found Sahil, who appeared to be under some sort of drug influence, tied up in the back room.

The boy was sent to the Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) for a check up.

The abductor, however, is yet to be found. Raids are being conducted to catch him while the police has sealed his shop.
