Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, at his residence in Patna on Saturday held a lunch and a meeting to brainstorm on strategies to ensure a victory in the Bikramganj Assembly by-poll and to bash the Nitish-led NDA government in Bihar to regain some of the grounds lost in the last state Assembly elections nearly two years ago.
Yadav, during a press conference following the meeting, said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was engaging in cheap politics by refusing to cooperate with the Railway ministry to gain political mileage.
"There is no such thing as 'my railways, your railways' when it comes to the development of the state. An arrogant Chief Minister, however, is indulging in such activities indicating that he has no interest in the progress of the state and all the talks of development are just that, only talks," said the Railway Minister.
Yadav, who left for New Delhi by a special train after the Saturday meeting, said he was confident of a victory in Bikramganj because people of Bihar have realized that the Nitish government had failed on all fronts and had done nothing to improve the conditions of the poor, dalits, and the minorities in the state.
