Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at a press conference shortly after his weekly Janata Darbar in Patna on Monday, said no one but the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was solely responsible for the slow progress in railway projects for it was Yadav who coined the slogan 'will give life but not the land' during his long regime in Bihar.
"It was the Railway Minister who encouraged farmers to not give up their lands for any development project in Bihar. Now we are all paying heavy price for it and the Railway Minister is blaming us for not providing him land needed for railway schemes," Kumar said.
"Today we are struggling to acquire lands in Bihar but we the Railway Minister should not be overly concerned with it. We will somehow manage to provide whatever he needs to set up railway factories in the state," he further said.
During the Monday session of the Janata Darbar, the Chief Minister ordered complete medical care from the Chief Minister's fund for a 5-month old girl who was found to have holes in her heart.
