Another Victim of NH 82 Accident Dies of his Injuries

Yet another young victim of the deadly road accident involving students of the Saraswati Shishu Mandir of Bakhtiarpur died of his injuries at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) on Saturday raising the total number of victims to ten, doctors at the hospital said.

Aditya Kumar who received severe head injuries during the road accident on National Highway 82 on December 13, succumbed to his trauma after battling his injuries for nearly ten days.

As reported earlier, six school children and two adults had died when their Marshall jeep was hit head on by a speeding truck between Gaya and Nawada under Wazirganj police station on NH 82 while returning from a school picnic in Bodh Gaya on the fateful night of December 13.

Patna District Magistrate Dr. B. Rajendra, at the behest of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had handed over checks of Rs. 1 lakh each to the family of each victim.
