Group Observes Saddam's Hanging Anniversary
Patna: Dec. 30, 2007
Activists under the banner of Anti-Terrorism Joint Front in Patna on Sunday burnt the effigy of U.S. President George W. Bush to mark the first anniversary of the hanging of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein while ignoring the threats from international terrorist outfits like Al Qaeda and other such outfits.
At Kargil Chowk, the members of the front held a memorial service for the fallen Iraqi leader and prayed for the freedom from the 'tyranny unleashed by Bush and his cronies'.
While failing to condemn world terrorism events including the 9-11 in New York City, the train bombing in London and Madrid, the attack on Indian Parliament, or the recent killing of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, leaders of the front described Bush as a terrorist for 'attacking Iraq and ordering the hanging of Saddam Hussein'.
The Sunday event was co-sponsored by the All India Naukar Dai Sangh and attended by a number of political activists belonging to the two groups.
