Subhash Yadav Demands Probe into Rajendra Nagar Terminal Incident
Patna: July 3, 2007
Fighting back at the allegations of show of his political might at the Rajendra Nagar Terminal in Patna last Saturday night, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Subhash Yadav, on Tuesday, demanded a high-level probe of the incident saying he was being targeted by politically-motivated officials who were misleading media to score political points against him.
In a letter written to the Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, who also happens to be his brother-in-law, Subhash Yadav said the media was misled by irresponsible railway officials who have an axe to grind against him because of his political status.
Demanding a full probe into the incident, Yadav said that on June 30, he was going to Delhi along with fellow RJD MP Motiur Rahman by Rajdhani Express. Both had reservations in the first class AC coach but when they arrived at the station, they found their names in the second class AC because the railways had accommodated eight under emergency quota system, he said.
The MP further said that he was bumped in favor of the wife of a former MP which showed the railway officials were acting out of malice towards him.
Yadav demanded a thorough probe into the incident and dismissal of the erring officials when found guilty.
