Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, while celebrating his 61st birthday at party headquarters in Patna on Thursday, expressed his hope of a better Bihar saying he was committed for the development of the state and several projects initiated by him would soon starting to bear fruits.

Accompanied by his family members including his wife Reena Paswan, brothers Pashupati Kumar Paras, Ramchandra Paswan, son, daughter, son-in-law and other family members as well as several LJP leaders and activists, Paswan cut the cake and accepted a gold crown and Rs. 51 lakh in a bag that he promptly returned to the party for spreading the part agendas.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sent his greetings over the phone as did other state and national leaders including Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Railway Minister, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav, Union Minister Meira Kumar and other ministers and legislators.

Paswan also enquired about the health of Chief Minister and wished him a good health and a long life.

Later, the LJP leader distributed wheelchairs to a number of physically-handicapped people at Miller High School ground.
