Former MLA Accuses Congress Leader of Fraud

Former Congress legislator Parwez Ehsan Khan, in a letter written to the Congress state president Sadanand Singh, accused him of committing fraud and demanded return of his money that he said Singh conned him into parting in the name of providing a job for his younger brother.
"Sadanand Singh, when he was the state Assembly chairperson, took Rs. 4.32 lakh from my younger brother promising to get a high-paying job for him. The Congress leaders also took a diamond ring for his daughter's marriage from my brother for which my brother had to pawn his wife's jewelries. Those jewelries are still with the loan shark but Singh not only did not provide a job to my brother, he never returned the money or the ring that my brother gave to him," Khan told the reporters.
If he does not return my money and ring, I will take up the case with the Congress high command," he said.
"I asked you politely several times to return my money and you assured me that you would do so. I kept my mouth shut for so long so as not to disgrace the Congress Party but now I have no choice but to ask you to return my money or I will contact the party high command exposing you for what you are," Khan reportedly said in his letter.
The former MLA from Chainpur constituency also said he had knowledge of Singh conning several other unsuspecting victims by promising to find jobs for them.
Singh, meanwhile, called the whole thing a blackmail attempt to malign his image.
"There is no truth to the story. Does he have any written proof of the alleged transaction?" the Congress leader said.
