Businessman Robbed at Gunpoint in Broad Daylight

Motorcycle-borne robbers near Digha area under Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna on Sunday robbed a businessman at gunpoint and got away with Rs. 1 lakh in cash, the police said.

As reported, Ranjan Kumar, the owner of a grocery shop in Digha area, and an employee of the store, were returning to his store on his motorcycle after getting a check for Rs. 1 lakh cashed at the State Bank of India, Khajpura branch.

As soon as they came out of the bank, two criminals on motorcycles followed them to their shop. When they reached an area with fewer crowd, the criminals overtook the motorcycle and forced Kumar's motorcycle to stop.

Pulling out a gun, the criminals snatched the bag containing cash and fled.

An FIR was lodged with the Rajiv Nagar police station and raids were being conducted to apprehend the robbers.
