Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during the weekly public meeting at his residence on Monday, wished a happy birthday to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on his 60th birthday though he could not resist the temptation to question the date of his birth saying Yadav himself had said in the past that he did not know his actual birth date.
"Nevertheless, I wish him all the best and wish he has a great birthday," Kumar said before switching gear to Yadav's criticism against the NDA government in Bihar
"His allegations against the NDA government in Bihar is sign of utter frustration on his part," the Chief Minister said adding Yadav was yet to come to terms to the fact that people of Bihar had overwhelmingly rejected him and he had absolutely no chance of ever coming in power in the state.
Taking a dig at Yadav's newest strategy to woo people from upper caste to regain people's support, Kumar said it was a sign of desperation since it was Yadav who had marginalized them by coining divisive terms like 'Bhura Baal'.
"The NDA government has empowered backwards, dalits, and women who got plenty of lip services in the previous regime but the words always belied promises. All this has made him extremely desperate and he is saying things that no one is paying attention to," Kumar said.
