Though not exactly a favorite spot for the Lailas and Majnus of Patna to end their lives after being jilted by their lovers, the police in Patna is investigating the case of 22-year old Sanjay Bhushan Prasad who was found in the pool of his own blood after he fell from the iconic Gol Ghar on Sunday breaking nearly every bone in his body.

Prasad was brought to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) where he remains unconscious and in very critical condition, doctors said.

As reported, Prasad, a Bhikhna Pahari resident, jumped from the Gol Ghar after being rejected by his unidentified lover.

Family members, however, deny the jilted-lover story. "Bhushan has no prior mental history and is of a stable mind. Either it was an accident or someone threw him down from Gol Ghar," they said.

Gandhi Maidan police is investigating the case. "We are hoping Bhushan would regain consciousness and provide us details of the accident though foul play cannot be ruled out at this time," Gandhi Maidan police station in-charge Mundrika Prasad said.
