Professor Matuknath, the fired B. N. College Hindi teacher, on Wednesday faced the ire of an angry crowd when he arrived at Patna's Regent cinema with his gal pal Julie to watch 'Nishabd', an Amitabh Bachchan starring film that is creating a lot of buzz for its old-man-young-girl tenor, a relationship that resonates well with the professor.
As reported, Matuknath, holding hands of his girl friend Julie, less than half his age, arrived at Regent cinema at noon to watch 'Nishabd', a movie that is said to be loosely based on the well-known Hollywood film 'Lolita' in which a middle-aged college professor becomes infatuated with a 14-year girl.
Several Shiva Sena activists were already protesting outside the theater demanding a ban on the film for 'promoting ideas against Indian culture'.
Seeing the professor, who is married and has grown up children, the protestors threw a blob of mud on him that landed on his face.
An embarrassed though determined professor wiped off the mud and managed to rush into the theater after purchasing tickets for himself and his friend.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena activists continued to chant anti-Nishabd and anti-Matuknath slogans while also demanding for a ban on the film.
