Spring rain in Patna on Tuesday once again exposed the pathetic infrastructure of the state capital and claims made by the Patna Municipal Corporation as a number of streets turned into swamps with mud causing cars to stall and fallen trees damaging many vehicles.

The rain had covered most roads and by-lanes were driving a vehicle was nearly impossible. Many cars were seen stuck in the mud with people attempting to pull them out with bare hands.

On Dak Bungalow Road near Kotwali police station, traffic came to a virtual standstill when a large tree snapped and fell in the middle of the busy road.

Heavy machineries were brought in to remove the tree from the road. Normalcy was restored after about 3 hours.
