Patna: May 7, 2007
Women of the Saas-Bahu Help Group on Monday in Patna organized a yajna at the Kargil Chowk to pray for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's wife Manju Sinha who is being treated at a Delhi hospital for pneumonia and chest infection for nearly a week.
Group secretary Arvind Kumar Jawahar said not only Mrs. Sinha is the wife of the Chief Minister, she is also a very principled and strong-willed lady. "We are confident she will pull herself out of it and return to Patna soon," he said.
Several women participated in the 'hawan' praying for the full and expeditious recovery of the Chief Minister's wife.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi, President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam called Nitish Kumar who remains with his wife at the Max Hospital and wished a speedy recovery for his wife.
Doctors continue to monitor Mrs. Sinha round-the-clock. Though her condition was reported to have improved just a little bit on Sunday, she still remains on ventilator, the Chief Minister said.
