Abductor Confesses of Killing 6-year old Ankit

In a tragic turn of event, the domestic help alleged to have kidnapped the six-year old Patna City boy Ankit nearly a month ago, confessed to the police of abducting and burying him in Chhapra after killing him just days after his kidnapping, Sanjay Singh, Chhapra Superintendent of Police, said.

The police arrested Balram Paswan, the key suspect in the case, from a home in Siwan on Wednesday. During his interrogation, Paswan confessed of strangling the boy and burying his body in Chhapra.
Senior police officials including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of police Kundan Krishnan have rushed to a remote area in Roopganj in Saran district to locate the body, officials in Patna said.
Ankit, whose parents run a grocery shop and a beauty shop in Alamganj in Patna City, was kidnapped from his school in Alamganj in Patna City on April 12.
Paswan worked as a domestic help at the victim's house. Since Ankit's abduction, the police had zeroed in on him as he also faded out of the scene the day the six-year old went missing.
Beside Paswan, four more persons have been arrested in the case.
A massive recovery operation was on to locate the body of the boy, the police said adding so far they had been able to recover only the clothes Ankit had been wearing the day he went missing.
