The Day After; Leaders Meet with CM

Patna: May 16, 2007

A day after the cremation of Chief Minister's wife Manju Sinha who, on Monday, died of medical complications at a Delhi hospital, several leaders from Janata Dal (U) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) visited Nitish Kumar at his official residence at 1 Anne Marg to offer their support and sympathy to him.

While Kumar spent most of the day with his close family members and son Nishant, leaders and other well-wishers started to arrive at the Chief Minister's residence early evening to express their support at this emotionally-tiring time in his life.

Among those who visited the Chief Minister included state Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh, Land Reform Minister Ramnath Thakur, Minority Welfare Minister Manjar Alam, Giriraj Singh, Nagmani, Anil Pathak and many others.

A group of teachers and lawyers also met with Kumar at his house.
