Patna Girl in Top-28 Indian Idol List

Patna Women's College student Dipali entered into the top-28 finalists in the extremely popular TV show Indian Idol after besting 150 other candidates coming from nearly all corners of the country as she sets her mind on the finals that would be aired in the last week of this month.
Dipali, who is a student of Intermediate Arts, has coasted into the top 28 after first making her place in the top 124, then top 66 contestants.
Indian Idol which is in its 3rd season now continues to draw huge ratings like its American counterpart hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and acerbic Simon Cowell.
Indian Idol is hosted by noted singers and musicians including Udit Narayan, Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar, and Alisha Chinoy.
Dipali's father Dinesh Kishore, a sub-inspector in the special branch, said he was confident of the success of his daughter as people of Bihar were solidly behind her.
