Steel Furniture-maker Shot in Patna City

Criminals in Alamganj in Patna City area shot and seriously injured a Nala Road steel furniture dealer on Monday morning after forcing their entries into his rented flat in Balkishunganj, the police said.
Vijay Bhagat, who was alone at his home at the time the crime was committed was rushed to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) with a bullet wound close to his heart. He remains in critical condition as the doctors were trying to pull out the bullet from him, reports said.
Bhagat owns a steel furniture shop in Patna City as well as one in Alamganj.
The police is investigating the case. Extortion has not been ruled out, Alamganj police station in-charge said.
