PU VC Hosts Tea Party to Review University Functioning

Patna University Vice Chancellor Dr. Y. C. Simadri, on Thursday evening, invited several professors and other college staff to a tea party at his guest house to discuss various issues concerning the university while also highlight accomplishments achieved since he took charge of the university.
Welcoming the guests along with his wife and secretary Vibhash Kumar Yadav, Dr. Simadri asked them to take a seat under a canopy specially erected to accommodate the visitors.
Starting his speech with a Sanskrit 'shlok', the Vice Chancellor said the university managed to conclude the current session with many changes and the new university calendar would be strictly followed in the upcoming session that begins in July.
"We were able to finish all examinations by May 31 and results of some of them have already been published. The results for other exams will be declared by June 30th," Dr. Simadri said.
The Vice Chancellor also praised the university staff and district administration for managing to conduct exams in various colleges without massive use of unfair means as was the case in the past few years.
"A new standardized admission system is going to be implemented from the new session that would simply admission procedure in all colleges under Patna University," Dr. Simadri said adding the admission forms, the last date to turn in the applications, and the admission dates for all colleges would be same from this year.
Speaking about illegal occupations in university hostels, the Vice Chancellor said all such residents had been removed from the university campus and work to repair and allocate the hostels would begin shortly.
Among those attending the tea party included Dean Dr. Ejaz Ali Arshad, Development Officer Dr. B. P. Singh, Examination Controller Prof.. Surendra Snigdh, Assistant Examination Controller Dr. R. K. Mandal, and several other officials including college principals, Heads of the Departments, and Patna University Teachers' Association office bearers.
